We’re on the lookout for a talented Civil/Structural Engineer to join our dynamic Overhead Contact Systems (OCS) and Power Distribution Team as we take on exciting new engineering projects and advance existing ones. Qualifications:
As the ideal candidate you possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited Canadian university and have 1 to 5 years of applicable experience in OCS or power distribution related design. You are a licensed Professional Engineer in Canada and/or are eligible for APEGA membership.
Preference will be given for knowledge and experience on Rail Systems, OCS or Electrical Underground and Overhead Power Distribution Systems. Your experience includes demonstrated skills in the following:

Responsibilities:
- As a key member of our team, you’ll take ownership of impactful projects and tasks, ensuring timely and quality delivery. You’ll collaborate with a talented engineering team and contribute to shaping the future of infrastructure and technology. Here’s what you’ll be diving into:
- Drive Project Success: Lead the development, management, and coordination of project scopes, deliverables, designs, and schedules.
- Innovate Through Design: Create detailed engineering designs and calculations to meet project requirements.
- Share Your Expertise: Contribute to in-depth technical and engineering reports.

- Stay Hands-On: Monitor construction progress, review and approve field change orders, and support testing and commissioning phases

- Quality Assurance: Review design drawings, material specifications, and oversee QA/QC processes during construction.

- Canadian codes and design standards.
- Knowledge of engineering computations & structural analysis related to the design of poles, foundations conductor tension calculations, assembly component calculations.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CAD software (AutoCAD and Microstation V8 are preferred).
- Ability to utilize CAD software to design production, assembly, and component drawings.
- Able to work effectively with engineering and construction groups to ensure that project delivery and quality goals are met.
- Experience in multi-disciplinary coordination (integration of other disciplines such as traction power, track, signals, and communications).
